New York City resident Mario Goris, age 53, of the Bronx, was killed in a crash that happened on Sunday, April 14, around 3:15 p.m. on the northbound side near Exit 4 in Bedford, according to New York State Police.
At the time of the crash, Goris had been driving a 2006 Honda CRV when it veered to the left, entered the median at high speed, and hit a tree. He was found dead at the scene of the crash and was the only person in the vehicle, police said.
At first, Goris was found with a valid New York driver's license that identified him as Jose Perez Rosa.
However, authorities say an investigation determined this was a false alias.
